proposed Trail Route

The coastal section of the Seawall Trail will be a 48 kilometer wilderness hike through varied terrain. It will be hut based and will require up to five days (four nights) to complete.

This coastal trail will expand upon existing trails and will complete the route from Meat Cove to Pleasant Bay.

An east-west spur trail will begin near Cape North. Trailheads connect the entire route to communities in both Victoria and Inverness counties.

A series of nested loops - day hikes - will be located near Meat Cove and will be developed using new and existing trails.

The colouring on the trail sections represent the type of construction required on that section of the trail. These codes can be found in the Proposed Trail Development Plan.
